Guided by Principles

The principle emphasizes the family as the first line of support while community is the second line. It also emphasizes community based care approach as opposed to institutional care of older persons.

The principle ensures that older persons are protected from any form of abuse so as to reduce on their vulnerability.

This principle emphasizes active ageing, productivity and self sustainability of older persons in all spheres of life

Ageing With Hope Uganda employs the Human rights approach in executing the following priority areas of focus that seek to improve on the quality of the life of older persons. 

➔ Economic Empowerment of older persons.

➔ Strengthening the Formal and informal community support institutions.

➔ Enhancing Access to Social Services such as health, water and sanitation, food and nutrition, shelter, recreation, leisure and sports, education and training.

➔ Psychosocial support.

➔ Care and support of older persons with disabilities.

➔ Research and information dissemination. 

Ageing with hope-Uganda is a not-for-profit, non governmental and charitable organization.
The organization started in 2003 after critically looking at the fate of the elderly and other vulnerable persons most especially children who have been made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS.
